Friendship, Spirit of Service and Sharing and Learning

We are the Love Our Own Brethren (LOOB) Inc., a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization established in 2001 in Iloilo City, Philippines, duly registered with the SEC No. E200122424.

We aim to promote grass-roots inter-cultural and educational exchange between Japanese and Filipino youths, and support for the self-independence of the marginalized sector.

Our concept for the global/inter-regional cooperation is for mutual growth thru sharing, learning and experiencing and we believe that more productive and socially responsible individuals makes for a more livable and sustainable communities.

LOOB JAPAN, on the other hand, was also organized in 2014 as our counterpart to support the various operations in the Philippines.

We have embraced the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of our program/project strategy and committed ourselves to achieving sustainable development in its 10 goals against 17 goals.

Our Community Partners

Since the start of the organization in 2001, we have implemented many community assisted projects in depressed rural and urban areas where employment is scarce and government initiated livelihood and support are few and far between. Through the partnership for Work Camp Programs / Education and Livelihood Projects where we and the people in the community envision to develop a better quality of life, LOOB has established a strong and enduring relationship with these communities so that Japanese and Filipino volunteers can work and learn hand in hand, in fullfiling their potentials to become an instrument of change in our society.
