Q5.Can you tell us more about your experiences related to Q4?
(Q4に関連してを具体的に教えてください。)

■In my case I was really more surprised about the difference between the values and culture of the Philippines compared to Japan, especially about courtship, when it was discussed in the open forum. (JOANNE)

■The experience that I have encountered wherein we were given the hospitality even though the people really didn’t know us. Especially when Manang Nerissa accepted us and allowed us to use their CR though we were not their foster children. (SHIELA)

■I can easily relate with other people especially with my foster family and Japanese sisters because we talk more about social issues (feminism) and cultural exchange… charge it to experience!!! (JOIE)

■I learnd a lot in this workcamp… it’s nice to actually discuss topics during open forum. Working on a project that could benefit a poor community is self-fulfilling. And even I’ve been through 3 other previous camps… I still appreciate the effort and kindness of the community in this workcamp. (EURICE)
Q6.From your experiences in this workcamp, is there anything you’d like to continue doing after you go back to your place?
(ワークキャンプの経験から、日常の生活につなげたいことはなんですか?)

■I will continue being who I am, the way I treat people and would always respect their opinions. (MYRIAM)

■Friendship… friendship between Japanese and Filipino and also amongst Filipino. (JOANNE)

■I think the spirit of serving others without expecting any return and also the friendship between my fellow campers. (SHIELA)

■Maybe I will still continue conserving water and pick garbage around, because even in my own small way I can help Mother Nature… and I will always cherish my experience with my Japanese foster family and the people of Namucon. (JOIE)

■Helping the people who needs me… even with little things… Cherish the memories that I have experienced because you might not know that this may be the last time you’ll see each other again. I’ll try to visit my foster family in Namucon, especially during special occasions such as fiestas, as much as I can. (EURICE)

■Maintaining cleanliness, and being friendly to other people especially foreigners. (RODERICK)
Q7.For First Timers:
Were there any differences from your expectations as to what you actually experienced in this workcamp? And how do you feel about that?

Did you experience anything new or different compared to the previous LOOB camp you’ve joined? Please explain.

(今回、2回目以上で参加した方:以前に参加したLOOBワークキャンプと比べて、今回はどのようなことに気づきましたか? )

■In every camp there is always a diferent experience… in this camp I learned many things like socializing with defferent people of different ages, views and dimensions, and some values one can seldom see in this technological generation… Thank you very much! (JOIE)

■This camp is new to me because it’s somehow better organized. I truly salute the camp directors in making this workcamp a success. Thank you!!! (EURICE)
